Crypto Faucets — Can you make money with them?
Since the very release of Bitcoin, people have been looking for good and reliable crypto faucet apps and sites. For a while, they were very decent, and you could make like 30 dollars a month just by clicking once an hour five or six times a day!
Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you. Bitcoin faucets (and faucets for altcoins as well) are dying, and are no longer really worth it for you to use. A lot of them pay so little that it’s not even worth the time it takes to solve the captcha or watch the ad. Imagine spending a minute of your life to earn 0.001 dollars — that’s ten minutes for one cent!
The most legit and profitable faucet, CoinPot, is also shutting down their services very soon. Unless a very good faucet takes its place, I think that when it pays off its last prize, it’ll be the death of Bitcoin faucets for good.
Some faucets nowadays are also scams! They either don’t pay you when you hit the minimum withdrawal, or have such an absurdly high minimum withdrawal that you’d have to use the faucet once an hour for 5 years to reach it. Simply not worth your time! I won’t name which ones are scams because I don’t want to get sued, but you can find out easily by googling “[Faucet name] scam?” before starting to use a new faucet.
Also, be extremely wary of bitcoin (or altcoin) faucet apps for your phone. They might have slightly better payouts, but in exchange for that, they accumulate a LOT of data about you which they then sell off. Cryptocurrency is supposed to be about anonymity and safety, and big corporations getting all your personal information achieves the opposite of that.
Because of this fundamental gap between faucets and the principles of cryptocurrencies, I strongly believe that they will soon completely die out. The best way of making money with cryptocurrencies in 2021 is holding a diversified portfolio of the best cryptocurrencies, and investing in some blochain ETFs. Good luck!
